Stories Collected While Living in France
So beautiful! Your photos make me want to run right there right now.
love it all!!
Questions:
1) What is the white thing with the arms jutting out of it (it looks like a wine bottle drying rack) in photo # 8?
2) Have you ever played petanque?
3) Are these all just pix of stuff you see in an average day where you live in France?
4) Can I come live with you?????
We’re leaving Provence tomorrow; but these photos are going with us. Thanks for the memories. We’re eager to make some more.
I had a Citroen 2cv just like this one. they are everywhere here in the summer, with their roofs rolled down, I so want to stop and photograph every one, but then I would cause traffic chaos! Love these typical scenes of summer, if only we could magically bottle it all up and keep it until the next one! I don’t want it to end!
This morning, I read the news, feeling dismayed and scattered, and then I turned to your column and took a deep breath. I think I should skip the news, but I feel compelled to be attentive to what’s happening here in the U.S., too. It’s a lot more fun to breathe with my shoulders down than it is to read holding my breath with my shoulders tight, though. Thank you for these gorgeous photos.
I agree with Linda P.
Your photos give us beauty, calmness
and a breathe of air.
Thanks

Only six more weeks and we will be there……your photos are making me weak with anticipation and major lust…..madly starving myself so I can enjoy all the wonderful food….and return home the same weight that I started out…..yeah right…

Beautiful!
What is that row of giant yellow bushes? Broom plant? It’s all gone here by late June. Smells so heavenly.
Stunning photos. Makes me ache to be there.
Just glorious. Thanks.
Especially the vivid blue and green triangles of shutters in the tree branches.
Well, and all of it.
