1) What is the white thing with the arms jutting out of it (it looks like a wine bottle drying rack) in photo # 8?
2) Have you ever played petanque?
3) Are these all just pix of stuff you see in an average day where you live in France?

I had a Citroen 2cv just like this one. they are everywhere here in the summer, with their roofs rolled down, I so want to stop and photograph every one, but then I would cause traffic chaos! Love these typical scenes of summer, if only we could magically bottle it all up and keep it until the next one! I don’t want it to end!

This morning, I read the news, feeling dismayed and scattered, and then I turned to your column and took a deep breath. I think I should skip the news, but I feel compelled to be attentive to what’s happening here in the U.S., too. It’s a lot more fun to breathe with my shoulders down than it is to read holding my breath with my shoulders tight, though. Thank you for these gorgeous photos.

Only six more weeks and we will be there……your photos are making me weak with anticipation and major lust…..madly starving myself so I can enjoy all the wonderful food….and return home the same weight that I started out…..yeah right…
