Before and After: Bathroom

Bathroom before renov

This is how the bathroom looked before the renovations.. It had three elements, blue/white tiles, and dolphin wall paper

Bathroom before

We moved the bathroom because it had a window. I thought it was better to have the window in the main room, and to put the bathroom under the stairs.

The bathroom now.

More to come!

  14. Just right!

  15. Loved the before picture, that is just how our bathrooms looked here when we bought our house only they also had fabric hanging on the walls to cover the unevenness of the old stone! Adore the bath, can’t wait to see more.

  16. …and the same could happen in the house I mentioned to you xxx

  17. I wish you could have seen it while you were here, the before and after was such a fun feat!

  18. I was so tired last night I could hardly post at all! More to come!

  20. Now are you two going to come over!! PLEASE!

  21. It is! Pure from top to bottom.

  22. Pretty sure French Husband likes that tun now! I certainly do.

  23. Fabulous Corey…and so glad we got to see Rene in action a couple of weeks ago! I hope I get to take a bath in that tub and enjoy the beautiful space you’ve created soon. You are truly visionary!

  24. Looks lovely. You have such courage when it comes to redoing. I am still working through the dust from our recent renovation in Italy. Fortunately, my husband has more guts than I have. For me it is more like, ‘call me when its over’. The good part is this trip we will travel to the Arezzo Antique market and we can get on with the decoration.
    What treasures await???!!!

  25. That before is SO typical! It is great to see where The Tub has found a home. You have made it a fitting space. Bravo!

  26. oh good because I have a slew of photos.

  27. I think so too, impractical but perfect!

  28. Are you ready to get in?

  33. Perfection – and amazing on top of it all.

  34. Oh my, oh my! What a first thing in the morning treat…that first glimpse of the bathroom is fantastic..the tub pure perfection..so wishing to see all the rest of your photos…magnificent idea to change out, move to a new space.

  35. amazing! can’t wait to see more pictures

  36. oooohhhhhhh …Georgeous!! Exactly my design/color taste. I’ll be right there ….. for a spa retreat!
    I wish!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  37. What an amazing transformation! You do it right! Love everything you do.

  38. love the tub, though it would have looked more interesting further away from the wall. It needs to show itself for what it is. Plumbing can be redirected for this…just a thought……………….

As long as you didn’t use the slippery stone like out side of the gate to the tiny house for the bathtub step all will be fine. ๐Ÿ™‚ Everything looks fantastic! Can’t wait to visit.

  40. absolutely delightful and wonderfully intimate – and totally & utterly impractical ๐Ÿ™‚
ADORE the stepping stone – such a great thought! The tub is glorious, the plomberie matches the style and if you’ll have a pretty large Italian style shower somewhere I would think that this is the stuff our nostalgic dreams are made of. Love it dearly but am thinking of our own HUGE white enamel bathtub on its own awesome lion feet; to which we replaced the later-on installed modern taps/showers back to the ‘olden style’. It looks totally stunning but it would take about 1 hour to fill the tub and so far we only used it once when we had a 89yr old English friend on visit…. We enjoy our large shower which we built in and took a v. ordinary bathtub out, redid the plumbing and walls & lights and everything – and we always say that this was the BEST bit of our very extensive renovations in our period house. And yes, I had to help our friend into the tub, dry her after her bath and certainly also very carefully help her out of it. It was a major operation :))))) She’s now approaching her 98th b’day and in a wheelchair most of her time. How wonderful that we were able to give her ‘the bath of her life’…..

    LOVE IT!
