Autumn antiques, why not call them that? Antiques about grape harvest and making wine.

Beautiful old pieces.

A splash of color,

A surprise,

An unexpected touch of hello there,

A moment's notice.

A gift of light on stone,

A seedling waiting for someone to notice it, and when noticed blooms.

  1. Summer floral pattern dishes put away, brown autumn/winter China put out. Brown wool plaid throw replaces colorful grandma made quilt for the season. That is what happens every year here at this time. Along with exterior faucet covers going on, deck furniture and hoses to the shed. The leaves are changing color, the ai seems different . Everyone is starting to wear sweaters and sharing soup recipes.

  2. Lovely colors of Autumn!

  3. My very favourite season, colours, Autumn light, the smell of Autumn, Bon fires, blue blue sky’s and warm still days, peace, happiness and contentment…Autumn love ; )

    Beautifully put.

  5. As always, artful and inspiring photographs.

  6. The smell of wood smoke in the air. The changing colours of the leaves…..yes

  7. The gentle move into autumn captured so perfectly in one post.

  8. oh this really just gave me peace – those ‘tired’ but peaceful & tender colours – beautiful – Thank You….
I’m now working my way back a bit through some of your posts. We had no connection for 2 weeks (the 2nd time a truck pulled down our overhead phone/internet/WiFi etc line) and I had far more pressing stuff to work through…. This is just what I need now.

Lovely colors. I put away the white quilt and the 30’s pastel quilts; replaced with a new fall colored quilt in my bedroom. I’m never ever ready for summer to be over but I guess I’m moving on and accepting it.
