Sacha is Filming Refugees in France

Sacha filming refugees

Sacha is filming refugees in France. He wrote on F.B.:

"Two little boys sit on the Dunkirk camp's playground. In the background are two of the many box houses families sleep and cook in. Today we met with people from 4 different countries. What struck me was how nice everyone was always, smiling and offering food.

  1. Thank you, Sacha, for presenting not-fake news of people’s plights. We mustn’t hide our heads in the sand.

  2. Yes!

  3. Thank you Sacha. Those of us who know you from your Mother are very proud. Love wins.

  5. Someone with the requisite art skills (which I severely lack, alas!) could design needlepoint kits with this message on it, to raise funds to help refugees!

  6. amazing human resilience in a somewhat bleak experience,,,,

  7. Please let us know when Sacha’s project is broadcast. Heartbreaking seeing what the refugees are going through, Sharon in B.C. is right.

Thank you, Sacha. I hope that your film will inspire more compassion toward the world’s refugees.

  9. Sacha, a million thanks for the work you are doing to document the lives of the refugees in France. All of your photography, shared by your mother, has been seen and appreciated by her friends around the globe. I look forward to seeing the documentary when it is completed.
Thank you Corey for sharing the ever so important work your son is doing. We are all so proud of his accomplishments.

  10. Thank you, Sacha. We know so little about what goes on with refugees in Europe. I am curious about the writing on the wall. Any idea why it is English rather than French?

  11. Oh Corey. Oh Sasha! Wonderful. I fear that the American reputation is that we have all gone mad in our fear. We have a family of approximately 7.5 billion people on earth, how many are truly evil? Surely the family of man can find the more good. Keep working to show humanity, you are making a difference.

I am sure this experience for Sacha..and you his family, will be a strong thread that will weave a whole and kinder life. The French word dépassement..go beyond oneself….Is one of my favorite words.

  13. That is a poignant picture you posted. This is an important topic. Glad Sacha is exploring it!

A stark image, an important reminder that chldren are the ones who suffer most in these situations and it is very sad that they have this life happening around them. Someone in the USA whose name should be “trumpet” needs to think about this, after all his parents where both immigrants to the USA! Cheers Sacha for your good work…from New Zealand

  15. How special to have a son with these sensitivities. One of my dreams has been to take high school kids traveling in other parts of the world because if they could see they smile and are gracious their thinking might change. Traveling does that to us. We are all the same, but some are more fortunate and just don’t appreciate it.

  16. Such important work! Does he have a blog or a public Facebook page to share the stories he has collected? I would love to follow!

  17. Looking forward to the final product. I hope I get to see it.
