Spring in Provence

Spring in Provence:

The almond trees bloom pink, the cherry trees put on white, bird song fills the air, the light of the day softens, a blush covers the trees as they wake up. It is a lovely time to be in Provence.

Soft spots. Tiny spring flowers.

The scent of harmony, inviting the seasons to merge.

Caressing the day with pink light that lingers into the evening.

Beginning stories of spring.

Spring in Provence, the chill in the air leaves by noon, just in time to enjoy having lunch outside.

Has Spring cause my French Husband to play with his food? Or maybe my bad habits have finally dented his properness.

    Those plates look delicious. 😉

  2. We’re supposed to have a high temperature of 38°F here tomorrow — not very springlike 🙁

  3. Lovely! While walking home this afternoon ( it was not raining!) I noticed the gardens of the Catholic Church had been tidied up. Beautiful sections with lots of daffodils in bloom. The Japanese cherry trees are in bud too.

  4. It is glorious! Oh the soft colors and blossoms and architectural touches just sing to my heart. I want to hop the next plane and run right there.

  5. The blooms already are off the almond trees–they are always the first–and the branches are filled out with leaves. Spring was so early.
The apricot, peach, apple and of course cherry trees are still at it, though.
Yesterday’s clouds are gone and the Pyrénées are sharply white against the blue sky.

  6. That is the one thing I miss up here in the charente Maritime, the almonds, we get just about everything else. So pretty, oh and we need some of the spring weather, we’ve gone from 22C and gorgeous to 12C and downright chilly in a matter of days!

Your name on his plate: sweet. (and rather improper!)
