Initially, I was attracted to these engravings because of how well dressed they were. Then I read their names, they were part of the French Revolution. Do you know the part they played?

  1. I remember learning about Lafayette in 7th grade U.S. History class. This was way before the musical Hamilton. He advised the founding fathers, including Hamilton and Jefferson. He also is the best looking dude in your print collection. Wasn’t Robespierre mentioned in Les Miserables?

No, but the 2nd one kind of reminds of of your man!!

  4. Jacklynn Lantry

    Nope!

  5. Some of the names are familiar, but couldn’t say their roles.

  6. Did you know that the Marquis de Lafayette named his son Georges [sic] Washington? Also, there’s a county in SW Pennsylvania named Fayette county, in the Marquis’ honor.

  7. Taste of France

Robespierre was the Bannon of the day, the mastermind of the Reign of Terror, and his version of the HUAC, the Committee of Public Safety.
Robespierre had Danton, his former ally, guillotined.

  8. There is a statue of Lafayette in union square park in NYC ❤ great prints!
