The colors of Provence
Seasonal.
Blue sky, golden sun.
Mortar and pestle,
Egg yolks and olive oil,
artichokes.
Pottery pitcher,
a glass of red wine.
A baguette on a white cloth.
A collection of paintings that made their way home with me from the brocante.
A coffee cup,
Wine bottles,
Cherry liqueur.
A classic green glazed water jug. Very Provencal.
They were used to collect drinking water from the fountains. A wet cloth was then wrapped tightly around it to help keep the water cool.
That is what Annie told me.
