The Feast of Motherhood

mom

My mother in her kitchen last November.

My mother is loved.

Mom you are

the center,
the rock,
the faith point,
the cookie maker,
the matriarch, who brings us together
in the place called home.

I love you.

Oh how wonderful Corey home again, that’s come round fast.

  6. You have a special mom for sure. Wishing I was heading through Willows while you are there, but don’t plan on it until August. Oh Darn!!!! Have a good time.

  7. I am going home to CA 5/26 to see my Mom. Mine is a short visit, only 4 days. Hope you have a great trip!!

  8. Happy for you Corey….
Today we went to a friends home. She asked us all to bring photos and stories of our mothers.
There was much laughter, a few tears fell. We got glimpses of our friends that we had not know before. A wonderful Mothers Day….

  9. This year, for Mother’s Day, I’m in France too.
Even though I’m not in the States, I’m about the same distance away from my mother. She lives in Florida, a 16-hour drive from my house in Ohio. So, we have an ocean between us but I could be there in about the same amount of time.
Mothers are the best, aren’t they?

  10. Enjoy every minute with her.

  11. How wonderful to share another month of special time with your mother , family and the land of your growing up. Your mother is a beautiful, fully giving, loving woman. Your visits to home are always good reading and touch me deeply – going home these days is to see brothers and their families, mother and dad have both passed on. So grateful for memories and stories and pictures.
    Happy Mother’s Day, every day…

  13. I am excited that you get to spend such a great length of time with your mom. She’s so cute. I fly to Maine on the same day to see Sarah, so I will wiggle my fingers at you in the air. Safe travels, friend.
