French Soiree with Melanie

French Soiree, antiques, friends, corey amaro, living in France

A mixture of old and new came together last night. In the midst of Melanie's parent's antique shop there was a soiree to celebrate Melanie's new jewelry collection that she created in Bangkok (where she lives), also Melanie's friend Frédérique was at hand to sign her new book about Cassis wine and food.

Laura and Lamont, blogging friends, who are staying in our "House Next Door" came along.

It was a perfect evening, with Melanie's mother's wonderful apero to feast on, rosé in antique glasses, mingling with friends and admiring the creative work and antiques that surrounded us.

  1. Lovely images, here and on Instagram!

  2. love all the images in this post…the painting of the girl with her back to us is a definite FAVORITE is the Cassis book available elsewhere or only locally? looks lovely

  3. Taste of France

Gorgeous photos. What light in that atelier!

What a wonderful group of photos. Looks like a good time was had. I was particularly drawn to the contrast of stark black-and-white African (?) print textile with elegantly framed vintage paintings on the far wall. The next to last photo looks familiar — was the party in Cassis? That road looks like the winding road down to Cassis, complete with slightly blurred leaves on the trees due to the motion.

or any number of other similar roads. brings back fond memories in any case.
