As a local meteorologist explained this evening, “wet winter + wet spring + hot, dry summer > wildfires.” Like virtually all reputable scientists, he attributes this cascade of weather extremes to climate change. Political activism is urgently needed to get the federal government back on track in fighting, as well as supporting the fight against, climate change!
