A 1700s Hand Painted Wall Paper and The French Muse

Finding anything that is older than anyone I know is something to behold, especially when it is something as ordinary and fragile as paper. While visiting antique dealers we stumbled upon a roll fifteen foot long hand painted wall paper. Of course my tastebuds desired it but a 2000 Euros price tag prevented it.

The muse is going fine and the group is divine!

Bonjour The weather is unbelievable summer. It is scary to feel this comfortable in the middle october.

  1. Wow that wall paper is remarkable! I can see why you would want it. I want it, lol. What would you do with fifteen feet of it…seems a shame to cut it.

  2. PS – It’s warm here in LA as well. Every day in the 90s.

  3. Wonderful wallpaper! I visited a small museum here where many discoveries occurred during renovation: Aubusson wallpaper from 1791 (it was dated), painted ceilings from 1570, a mural from a century later. I was more intrigued by the ancient décor than by the photography exhibit going on.
The weather is indeed amazing. I remember my kid trick-or-treating without a coat, so I guess it isn’t that odd.
