Ginger and Carrot Tango

Ginger Carrot Tango Soup

Take as many carrots as you can in two hands, take their hats and coats off then put them into a nice bath of cold water, turn up the heat so they can dance.

Introduce them to an exotic new partner named Ginger Fresh.

Let them each bring a friend…

Carrot will invite Lemon because she is a tart and full of spunk! Surely, Fresh Ginger will bring Curry because he is easy to blend in with others, he has a subtle softness about him.

Don't forget to serve them white wine that night, it aids the conversation.

Add a bouquet of laurel, celery and onion let them do the tango in a hot pot.

Blend the music smooth and lace it with coconut

I am interested in renting your Paris Apartment Dec. 29 – Jan.7. My friend Dominique Baptiste told me about it. I tried to find a contact here on your blog. Please advise if the apartment is available then or any time before. Thank You! Jill Sullivan

  2. Such a way with words. I can see and taste without pictures, and may try to replicate-soon! And who is Mr. Laurel and where do I find him? Bon appetit.

  3. Oh you do make a recipe entertaining with the dance.

  4. The French marketplace signs and menu signs always look so beautiful. But sometimes I find it difficult to make out some of the letters, e.g. the last line in the photo above, lol. I am sure you are used to reading them Corey.

  5. A delight to read, and my tastebuds are primed…must make it. Even in summer in Oz, those flavours will work their spell, and the lemon will come straight from our tree, and the laurel ( bayleaf),as well.

Tongue in cheek recipe empowering tempting spices while laced with a hint of brocante. Merci!

Brilliant, made me smile over my breakfast. I can picture them all dancing together, I don’t think I shall ever look at carrot and ginger soup in the same way again! Have a lovely weekend, it is certainly soup weather here in the south west!

  8. Sounds wonderful , and I bet it tastes even better….

Such a way with words! I just might have to make a grocery run. I only have 2 carrots, not enough for such a lovely dance. Mr Laurel, aka bay leave, makes all soups delightful.

  11. I am gathering together the pieces for the symphony of soup making and I will surely dance with joy as I serve it for supper. Thank you as always for your wonderfully created recipes.

  12. Too darn cute! Somehow I see the carrots with demure smiles and, maybe, tophats, dancing around in that pot.
