A Circle of Love

When Chelsea tried on the first of many wedding dresses, my mom asked her granddaughters, (my nieces and Chelsea's first cousins) to hold hands ans circle her in love. I felt a tradition was born in that moment.

Happy Thanks Giving!  Here is knowing that we have hundreds of reasons for which to be grateful, moments for mindfulness and a life needing us to be loving and kind. Thank you for reading my blog and your generous encouragement.

  1. I’m all teared up 🙂
Such a wonderful ‘new tradition’ has been created here!!!! And of course, it’s your Thanksgiving Day – a great, great event for all Americans.
Yes, we have SO MUCH to be thankful for. I try to be every day aware of ‘how good we have it and how blessed we are’. It helps to overcome the dismay and sadness of all the terrible news we also hear about every day. We shouldn’t forget, ever, about the Power of Love, not only the PoL between two human beings, but God’s love, the love of the creation and all its inhabitants, the capacity of love is tremendous and fathomless.
So, HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all of you who celebrate today. xoxoxoxoxoxo

  6. So wonderful to see a tradition being born, and each of the girls there will want to carry it forward, I’m sure. Your mother creates beauty in so many ways and you have learned will from her. Wishing your family abundance and many more happy occasions to celebrate together.

Yes. This. Should. Become. What. Is. Done. Always. From. Now. On.
Yes. How beautiful that was. It feels as though it was was always meant to be done for the bride to be. Her society of women supporting her and ritualistically protecting her. Felt very ancient to me, like how early humans might have marked this rite of passage in mating life.
    Your mom is a genius.

That is amazing. So happy to see and hear about your happiness. Are we going to find out what dress she picked or do we have to wait until the wedding? Oh, and did your brother bite the heads off all the turkey’s this year:)?

My brother Marty was not here, he was with his wife’s father. Though we all missed them and the headless turkeys. And yes you have to wait!!!

  19. Thank you Corey for the wonderful blog you write and share with your circle round the world.
How perfectly this new tradition of the family circle of love around the new bride to be created
by your dear mother symbolizes the deepest family bond. The video has delighted me and I
share with so many others a thankful heart on this day. Waiting along with Martin to see Chelsea
In her chosen gown is a perfect decision.
