The Path

cassis coast, path

The first day of the new year, French Husband and I went for a walk along the coast of Cassis.

Following a path, that was smooth in the beginning and not so in the middle nor the end. In fact, the path was condemned

because the rocky overhang has falling bit by bit over time and still today. But the beauty and ruggedness were inviting. Of course, I wore the wrong shoes which just meant I had to hold French Husband's hand the entire time. Oh darn.

The path reminded me of the new year, the invitation it offers to reflect on the year past and the challenge to face whatever comes along with grace and courage.

My horizon, my compass, my partner on this path, my man who matches the sea.

The path along cassis.

The path to navigate with grace and courage.

May it be smoother than this.
