Paris Rain

We are in Paris visiting Chelsea and Mr. Espresso (Martin).

We took the train and watched the blue skies give way to grey skies, but at least it is not cold.

The Arc de Triomphe at the end of the  Champs Elysees.

Paris reigns.

But today as I got on the train in Cassis there was a plaque that said:

« If you have visited Paris but not Cassis, then you haven’t visited anything »

Part of a famous poem by Frédéric Mistral written in the early 1900s.

The best of both worlds that is what it is.

What a fabulous photo! I love the colorful droplets on the glass! Paris must be lovely no matter what the weather. Here, we’re having bone chilling subzero winds.

  2. I’ll trade with you, Corey, as the air temperature here is supposed to drop below 0 Fahrenheit (and we won’t even discuss how much colder the wind chill factor will be). Oh well, as long as our utilities all remain on and the furnace keeps operating properly, we’ll get through this.
Younger friends in Providence, RI., and Toronto, ON., have already emailed today mentioning that each decided to take a vacation day today due to the bitter cold. Of course, most of our friends are retirees, so like Farmboy Husband they didn’t have to go anywhere anyhow!

  3. Then again, at least we didn’t experience any earthquakes this week — yet — unlike the medium one that struck my hometown recently with an epicenter only 1.5 mi. from where I was born and raised (in a mild climate).

  4. Corey that is such a great photo! Love it.

  5. Yes…the best of both worlds…

  6. I, too love this photo, totally captures the feelings of warm Paris rain. I am in the car approaching San Francisco as I leave the orchards and rice fields… the best of both worlds here!

  7. Amazing photo – you have a great eye! xo
