Love Homily on Sunday

We know what love can do when it comes to

bridges,

walls,

mountains,

differences,

the spaces in between.

With love on our side, we are one and the same, love becomes our rod and staff.

Love is a beautiful hand to have and to hold.

In a homily, I heard over thirty years ago, the gist of it was;

We are the stained glass and (God's) love is the light that shines through.

Stained

brilliant

different colors and form

spectacular pattern

and yet

love, prayer, the belief in one another is a light we also create

and if we give it

beauty spills wide.

 Love is an open hand.

Beautifully written Corey, I will look at the beautiful window in our church differently. My Mum used to shine her engagement ring on our church’s windows & get their reflection in her diamond. Now I wear it & often do the same, I feel her so close in church as we always sat together. I must admit some hymns bring me undone…..nothing like church music to bring a tear to your eye.

  4. Beautiful my lovely friend. I enjoy all of your postings so very much.
    Much love and many blessings.
    Love Jeanne

  5. What a lovely concept to use the example of the stained glass and the light shining through. I love stained glass, but will now look at them differently. Thanks for all you share.
