Stories Collected While Living in France
The 3rd photo is a hoot, with those cascades of grass (perhaps St. Augustine grass?) pouring out the sculptures’ mouths!
Are those leeks on the lunch plate? Or white asparagus (except I don’t see any tips)? Or celery?
It’s still full-on winter here 🙁
What is the food? Celery? Hearts of palm?
I love that fountain shot!!
Oh my gosh, that wallpaper your friend is unfurling is GORGEOUS! I have some pieces of extremely old French wallpaper I love so much but it’s too fragile to do anything with. I hope you bought some 🙂 Beautiful photos as always, looks like a grand time was had by all. Did you buy something in the shop?
Going back to look at the photos, note that in #5 she appears to be holding a bag with leek tops peeking out, so that may our clue.
Leeks for lunch.
Leeks with lemon, black sesame seeds and sesame oil.
The wallpaper is actually an Aubusson sampler used to create the tapestry making.
I do remember that fountain when visiting there.
