Here are some of the photos on our Fridge:

This is Sacha when he was twenty-two months old, early in the morning, with his stuffed bear. He had yet to sleep through the night. In fact, he woke up five, six, seven, eight times throughout the night until he was five years old.

It wasn't easy.

This is a photo of my dad and me. It was the first time that my parents came to visit me in France (1988). Dig my short brown hair?

Peeking out above the photo is another photo of Chelsea… who barely had any hair on her head until she three or so.

Chelsea is holding her little brother Sacha. She thought he was a doll. He liked being a baby. So everyone was happy. Until night time that is…

In the background was our cherry tree.

This is a photo of my mom's family Easter egg hunting. My mom was the youngest of seven. (Not all seen in the photo.)

An old photo of my mom with some of her sisters and my dad. Another one of my Grandmother that I adored, I adored both of my Grandmothers. A snippet of a postcard from Sacha when he was in NYC and a movie stub when I went to the movies years ago with my nieces and decided right then and there to invite them to Paris when I turned sixty. They arrive June 11th this year.

A painting of a French boy that activated French Husband's brocante bug! He found the painting and bought it.

Some of my family when we went back home a few weeks before my brother Mark's (and Diane's) wedding. I think Sacha who was three years old at the time took the photo.

The seven oldest grandchildren (including Sacha.)

Marty

A photo of my brother Marty (who is younger than me) and me.

It is probably the first and only time I held a dog.

What photos do you have on your fridge?

More, more, more, more, more. I love these old photos! You look so elegant in the photo with your dad. Why didn’t Sacha sleep? My friend Gregg said his daughter did not sleep through the night for the first two years of her life. He got a vasectomy, lol:)

None on our fridge. But I do love yours. You have a Lady Di haircut in the 80s and I rather like it. What a wonderful photo of Chelsea lifting up Sacha!

I really enjoyed seeing these. I don’t know why, but I just never thought that your Dad had visited you in France. So glad you shared that experience.

  12. You two made beautiful babies!

A photo of my husband Steve (before we were married) and I in Lyon, taken on perhaps the worst day in our relationship EVER. We had gone to Lyon to visit a French friend of mine (a very cute Frenchman) and Steve became VERY jealous. He had nothing to fear, but he so offended my poor friend that I have never heard from him again (even though we have several friends in common and I wrote him a very nice apology). It was a horrible day, and I almost sent Steve home that night. The fact that we are still together almost 12 years later is a testament to forgiveness.

What lovely photos and memories, thanks for sharing! My fridge has funny photos, but not of family. There’s an enormously fat cat, a 1920’s photo of Buster Keaton, and a great one of Pat Paulsen (anyone remember him?)Who could forget that dower face and his silly presidential ads?
