Dear Rain in Provence,
Can you please rain anywhere
except on the roses,
and if possible
leave a patch of blue
for the sun to kiss
the jasmine?
Oh and please stop raining on the brocantes.
Thank you,
C

The sun is out and the skies are blue with poofy clouds in Seattle. However no brocantes. Guess the good thing about your current weather is the brocantes aren’t crowded.
I feel this VERY same way when we have more than one grey damp rainy day…which of late has been quite frequently-day one I am okay day 2 NOT SO MUCH!
Brocante + rain = No bueno. If it makes you feel better, we are having very cool and gray days in Socal.
It IS unseasonably cold and damp.
I wouldn’t mind the wet (we need to store up water!) if it were just warmer.
It was so nice and warm for days on end that on Saturday that we shut off the furnace. Then it started raining. We are all wrapped in many layers. Today is promised to be be a return to regular programming.
We would love to have a bit of rain here in Portland, Oregon, where we have had an unseasonably warm (and recently hot) and dry Spring. Our flowering plants and shrubs are begging for rain. If it is like this in Spring, what will Summer bring? In this time of climate change, extreme weather somewhere everyday, and unusual weather everywhere most days, have become the norm.
We had had such a dry fall and winter that I am making myself enjoy the last few rainy days we have had because I hope they may mean fewer forest fires here in the Rockies and foothills. However, I have to admit I prefer sunshine!
I so loved this innocent plea…made me have a good morning chuckle. Although I do have empathy. I live in Vancouver, Canada where more than likely, it is always raining…except for the past week!
I’m positive the sun will return to kiss your roses.
