The First Step

Chelsea wedding 2

The first step. There is much to say about Chelsea and Martin's wedding and I will write about it but for now, as my family and friends are with us, and Chelsea and Martin too, I am celebrating this time without too much time spent on social media.

I will post something every day, and then when the rose petals settle I will write in detail.

Thank you for understanding and for your patience.

Perfectly understandable; savour every moment. Is Manuella the lovely lady (dancer) who cut my hair when I stayed with you? She made a wonderful job of your hair; you all looked fabulous. XX

  3. Cory,
Enjoy your time with family.. cannot wait to see the photos. Such a happy blessed time.

  4. And she did a lovely job, because your hair was delightful.
I love the way it was softly rather-over-one-shoulder.
And noticed that your mom’s hair had bits of flips to it also. 🙂
    Enjoy!
    Enjoy!
    Enjoy!
    Blogging will be here, after…

That photograph caught a particularly powerful, beautiful moment, when Yann and Chelsea had just stepped through the open double doors into the Basilica Sainte-Marie-Madeleine, and bright sunlight filled the doorway, lighting them from behind, as the breeze gently lifted Chelsea’s veil behind her.
I was very moved by Chelsea’s and Martin’s Sacrament de Mariage and will never forget the privilege of witnessing it in real time, via live stream from the Basilica in St Maximin la St Baume to my home in Portland, Oregon. Thank you, Corey and your family and the friends who carried out the streaming.

A most exquisite and deeply touching photo
that captures the wonderful amazing moment of
father and daughter entering the Basilica. You
were all perfectly coiffed for the wedding.
Now to have time to fully enjoy family time while
your world-wide friends remember the generosity
of your sharing this most precious family event.
    We all appreciate you.

    Beautiful!

It is interesting that the doorway is so low. Was the church used as a refuge from invasion in the past?

  14. Utterly stunning! Enjoy your family…they are precious.

  15. Looking forward to more photos when you have the time as we also do not use cell phones or social media.
