Miss You

An empty chair sits where you once were

the confetti memories surround me

Alone, grateful, and sleepy remain.

Bon voyage mom and Patti

Have they arrived home? I hope they had a smooth trip after the initial problems.

You will miss your mom especially. How special that she could come there.

As I said, hope you have something planned…. This is an after time. Needing something, to fill the ’empty’ spots.
Hope their trip home was smooth and safe.

Praying for safe travel for all! Relax and savor the memories so sweet and warm.

  8. The story of all expats…. Wonderful ‘souvenir’. You had the good times, no the best…. now it’s digging into the rich fundus of memories, stories, laughter, tears 🙂

    Sending more hugs.
My parents used to get out an old kiddie table (it had been my mom’s) and mini rocking chair (that had been my dad’s) when we came to visit. And they would leave the rocker and the table, with its crayons and papers, in the middle of the living room for weeks after we left, because they wanted to keep the feeling that their youngest grandchild might come through the door at any moment.
The hardest part of expat life.

    A time for reflections . . . .

It’s always hard saying “Au revoir” to loved ones. Hope you’ll get to visit Willows soon.

  12. This is so hard. Quiet and still. The memories you have made are wonderful and remarkable. Time for reflection, until the next time family are reunited far and wide.
