Porch Chair

The porch door was open,

inviting the early autumn leaves a place to rest.

A few gathered taking solace by the old porch chair,

tattered worn and barely standing,

but as Autumn leaves who were they to judge.

Together they shared their stories with the words that were written on them.  Words that had become the fabric of their being.

And in sharing those stories, their souls were revealed-

True colors that only eyes that listen could hear.

  1. I certainly enjoyed that post, and this one is quite poetic too. You are blessed being in the middle of so much French brocante beauty!

  2. Faded beauty…

  4. I have to admit I was with the crowd on Royal-Ette. Though I’d also take the one Annie was draped on,
