Watching this video I could imagine where the clothing and textile fragments I have found at the brocantes belonged and where or how they were used such as the pockets, or buckles, aprons, pins, corset vials …

  1. In the first video, between the stays and the side pockets she puts something cylindrical into the bodice. What is that? and it’s purpose?

  5. Absolutely fascinating…and I thought a bit of spandex shapewear was torture. How exciting it must be to find bits and pieces of history of such a personal nature,either worn with pride or well preserved in a hope chest.
    I especially love the long tie on pockets, and have not seen these before.
