I have loved and collected antiques for many years but since we downsized to a much smaller house, most of them are gone now, to friends, family and dealers. I still enjoy sharing and dreaming bout the ones you post on your blog. One of the pictures today, however took me aback a little and then I had a memory of my young nephew who told me that when he came to our house, our stuff “reminded him of dead people”. Those sculpted hands in the basket would have thrown him for a loop. I am laughing at the reaction he might have had. They look a little like they are trying to escape. I loved the rest of the images though!

When I saw the hands my first thought was, i can’t believe i was able to find TWO of those door knockers on our last trip to France. I love them! Corey, is that a pic of your ” Grandmother cabinet ” ? A close-up shot of everything in it would be soooooo awesome. Happy New Year.
