Friendships Through Blogging

Singing the song of my memories,

it is a beautiful gift to have.

Petal after petal

Sharing memories especially with those who need to hear how their lives have touched mine.

Thank you for reading my blog, for your ever generous response, for the many gifts you have given me by your words, friendship, prayer, and good thoughts. I am lucky to know you, and my life is fuller because of it.

It is about 5pm here in Australia when your email comes through and it’s like hearing from a close friend even tho we have never meant.
Your words are so inspiring and the photos of your family and Provence blows me away.
I often google the places you mention and because we have had the opportunity of visiting Provence can imagine being there. Our trip was before I ‘met’ you, hopefully we are able to come back & meet you.
We visited a winery near Bergerac after reading books by an English lady Patricia Atkinson who had a sea change with her husband & bought a winery La Belle Saison. Sadly husband didn’t cope so with the help of wonderful neighbours she struggled to keep going and she did and has won gold medals for her wines. Unfortunately she was busy in the vineyard but met her friend Karen. I cannot describe how excited I was, the village was just how she described it. It was a day I’ll never forget. We hired a car from Bergerac, my husband was so nervous & I prayed the whole way, wrong side of the road 😜😜 I gave the books to a friend who was going thru a very difficult time and she told me the books helped her get through.

  10. Corry, you are the genuine article! I always look forward to your daily email’visit’.

  11. Yes, yes, yes!!!

  12. Kismet. The day I accidentally chanced upon your blog brought full obsession and addiction! I couldn’t stop reading
and attempted to read your blog from Day 1 to the present. I got through several years before it became so prolific that it was impossible for me to do so and, well, there was this job and family that needed my attention… One day, I will return to where I left off and go forward again. How could I ever know that day of chance meeting over the internet would open doors to a world of beauty and friendship? xoxo

  13. Your blog postings are a beautiful blessing, and so are you.
    Much love

I always find that your blog seems to have just the right thing to say when I read it, from the other side of the world! In New Zealand we have suffered a recent horrendous hate crime/terrorist attack in the last week, and that has changed many lives and really shocked us to the core, so it is nice to have your thoughtful blog to read as a distraction from that…thank you for the positivity of your words. Jennifer

I feel the same about you Corey! It’s like I know you personally when most days I cannot even get the time to read your blog. It’s a year since my husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, we go back to Boston for another SCAN on April 9, the year has flown by and it’s been a tough one, we’ve lost dear friends, we’ve had to battle hubby’s cancer, but when I do get to read your blog it’s been a joy and inspiration. I still hope one day to see France, would love to meet you and visit the places where my dad served in WWII, who knows…maybe someday! Thank you so much!
