My stay at ‘the house next door’ was perfect.  The small but mighty home exudes instant calm as each room beckons…napping in the comfy queen size bedroom upstairs, soaking in the copper tub, whipping up flavor-filled food in the elegantly functional kitchen or just watching Provence from the window on the backyard.  Provence is ribbons of poppy fields lining the roads, vineyards that reveal their age through the strength of their stalks, crisp radishes and lettuce, extraordinary dried mushrooms (kept behind the counter in the local epicerie), church bells marking the hours, happy dog-walkers with happy dogs at every turn, streets of pastel houses filled with flower boxes and friendly folk chatting from their balconies, rosemary bushes everywhere, the rose wine, the rose wine, the rose wine, children playing at the nearby school, cafes where conversation is live, animated and always fun, wee mountain towns,  daily sunshine streaming in the kitchen, delicate flaky pastry with flakes upon its flakes, and people from all over the world landing together with steady, comfortable, curious ease in a storybook countryside…all presented by Corey and Yann, who make you feel that you belong in this dreamscape…and so I did for an unforgettable month.  Paradis.

She paints a beautiful picture of your part of the world. How beautiful. This would be a dream come true to stay there for a whole month.

  4. Another from Ontario. What a beautiful description of Provence. She Captured it perfectly. Everyone should go at least once in a lifetime. It’s magical. Is there a price list somewhere for the House Next Door:)
