my friend Nelly, a friend and long time antique dealer had a beautiful bust.
The day after I took this photo her dog wagged his tail with jubilant joy and broke her antique bust shattering it to the floor in a million pieces.

  1. sometimes I think when we focus on something we draw energy to it … so many times this has happened to me…. the piece you are holding is very nice ….. I hope your friend isn’t too shattered herself…..

  2. Was it plaster or stone? Maybe it can be repaired? Also, that fragment of the face is very nice.

  3. ditto what “g” and “lil” said! I would find a way to mount and display the piece that she has left. It is quite lovely.

  4. Remember that Venus de Milo has endured.

  5. Sad this happened, but yep, I’m in agreement with everyone. Glue some string/wire to the back and hang on the wall. Or get a clear acrylic plate stand.
Lemonade from lemons and all that. 😉

I have a friend in Italy whose brother was scuba diving and found an Ancient Greek glass olive oil container. Several months her dog bumped into it and shattered it!

Oh oh oh – and yes, as everyone shared- the face fragment is classic – you will have a unique solution in no time.

I rarely break anything, but recently I have had four different things just fall off or out of where I’ve placed them and shatter into hundreds of pieces. Nothing this beautiful or valuable fortunately. I am so sorry for your friend’s loss. Keep the face! Put it inside a wreath.
