Corey, I have been wondering how you and yours are doing. It’s great to hear that everyone is taking this virus seriously and are doing ok. I hate to rain on your good works of writing others….I want to tell you what I am doing and why. The virus can live on cardboard, thus I would imagine any paper product, for up to 72 hours. So, I have decided to send no cards or letters (which I dearly love doing), until we are declared virus free. I am not sure if the postal workers are being careful/safe. Any mail that comes into the house: I throw away the junk mail; anything we need to keep, I wipe down (homemade alcohol wipes: baby wipes soaked with alcohol) the envelopes and papers inside and put aside to dry. I even wipe down the covers and edges of magazines. So far,we and family members are ok. However, we are at greater risk, being in our 70’s and my husband has health issues. Plus, he has a procedure (stent in carotid artery) tomorrow at the hospital….yikes! But, we feel that we will be fine….the virus hasn’t overwhelmed our small town…yet. Prayers for your brother.
