Where Do Your Thoughts Lead You?

French la vie

The frame is very old, missing a few pieces, and crooked.

The tiny metal shield has two angels painted on it with a monstrance.

Behind the two objects a page out of French book with words such as Holy Family, Take Courage, Contrast, Divinity, Faith… a page out of a religious text that is certain, but not intended.

Why am I posting this? It spoke to me as things sometimes do.

In this uncertainty

where most things feel askew

and change happens each day

I look for peace, for a space of calm, for beauty in my path

and try to be in the moment at hand instead of trying to put things in order.

Where do your thoughts lead you these days?

  1. This speaks to my heart. Staying in the moment has not been easy. Thank you, Corey. 💕

  2. I try and always think of better days ahead and pray for God to protect us all always.
    God bless us all

  3. I like that idea to “try to be in the moment at hand instead of trying to put things in order.” There is no order it seems, and what there is is only temporary. So I’m trying to accomplish just for today. A little cooking. A little cleaning. A little helping out. But most important time with God. What does He want? Order my days Lord…
Blessings Corey for your whole family!!!

  4. “I look for peace, for a space of calm, for beauty in my path” So beautiful! I do too!

  5. this is one of those posts where i cannot respond right away because it is very thought provoking – I need to calm myself-hint number one where my head and spirit are- quiet the inner dialogue and contemplate this…very profound-

Our home is an absolute delight as we have everything we want or need. We venture out for groceries and an occasional Starbucks not too much more. We are connected to family online and that has been great. Yes, looking forward to businesses, church, and restaurants to open up. But working from home has kept me very busy and not much time to overthink the covid-19 situation.
In a couple of weeks, we celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary just the two of us. I’m very grateful for the time we spend together. He works upstairs, I work downstairs, we take breaks together and turn off our computers at 5p.m. and it’s dinner time. There is a lot of harmony in our day. Prayers and faith carry me and I honestly feel very peaceful.

  7. My thoughts lead me here, there and everywhere as usual 😊

  8. I’m with Patrizia…here, there and everywhere…

Thank you for sharing this Corey. I feel just like this frame, a little off, skewed, missing parts. But the angels in the shield remind me that there is bliss within, you just need to dig to find it.
