The Bird’s Nest

bird's nest

While on my daily walk around the rice fields Sacha pointed out a red wing crow's nest in the ditch amongst the reeds. I would not have noticed it as it was well concealed and neatly created. A masterpiece exactly as nature is.

We marked the path so we could go back and check to see when the blue eggs had hatched.

Yesterday two of them hatched and today the third one did.

Newbies to the world.

I will check on them daily and keep you posted on the growth.

New life. So refreshingly sweet and gentle on the weary moments of this time.

These pictures made my day. They really are incredible, like Time-Life pictures. I hope you will show a couple more as they grow up, if you can without drawing attention to their location.

  2. Time a spring of new beginnings and new hope.

  3. I was hoping there would be movement on the third egg-ABSOLUTELY AMAZING-awe inspiring-

  4. Baby birds and the rebirth of Spring. Perfectly timed by nature. Indeed weary times makes taking note of events that give us joy and lighten the heart are healing. Today, my deep purple bearded irises are starting to bloom. This makes me smile as well.

I once had a robin build a nest in the wreath on my front door! The grand kids and I had a blast watching the changes. The day came when their Momma decided it was time for them to begin their journey outside the nest. We watched the babies hop across the lawn into the edge of the woods where Momma excitedly beckoned them. Very cool stuff. xo
