I could eat homemade pie crust by itself. Pecan and minced meat….they’re great, but apricot sounds pretty good too.

  3. Fabulous. Your husband will probably enjoy your new skills at pie making once you return home…………….
Love you and all you share.

  4. I am so enjoying our long trip to California! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you should start organizing trips to your mom’s house:)

  5. Looks delicious. My grandmother made good pies too. Her special pie was strawberry rhubarb. Perfect combination of sweet and tart. Pie crust takes some skill too. I’ve never made a pie. I drive all the way to Whole Foods market and buy my favorite mango mouse cake. It is, for certain, better than anything I could make.

  6. Now I’m suffering even more saudades for Northern California. My parents had a Blenheim apricot tree in our back yard when I was growing up, so I’ve really missed fresh ripe apricots ever since. I’d be happy with a batch of stewed ripe apricots right now.

  7. I am a good pie maker and absolutely love pie. How I would love some apricot pie. We don’t get good apricots in Oregon, so now I am drooling for some good apricots from south of the Oregon border. So yummy!

  8. Will your mother allow you to print her recipe for the pie crust? I would love it!
