Updates

  • My nieces and I are having a hand-picked homemade blackberry bake-off with social distancing outdoors. I plan to lose, have fun and gain some weight tasting the entries.
  •  Chelsea told me that before leaving the apartment Gabriel walked over to the cupboard opened it and out took a tin of sardines to carry to the park. Why not? Some kids like candy, some like toys, and some but not many like a tin of sardines.

  • As we have heard Americans are banned from traveling to Europe, due to the spikes of Covid19. I am a dual citizen a veritable Franco-American so if my plane takes off I am going to be on it July 5th.
  • My brother Marty received his scan results regarding his pancreatic cancer that has spread to his liver the results were positive. As he said to me that his pancreatic cancer will not go away so a miracle is needed, but his results are good and more time is added on to his beautiful life. No other tumors were found either. He will continue chemotherapy. Thank you for the positive force and prayers that you sent and are sending your prayers, please.
  • As of today nearly five months since I have been in California I have walked more than 750 miles, seen nearly every episode of Gunsmoke, and have seen baby killdeers hatch, plenty of wild turtles two baby foxes, a duckling, and golden dragonflies.`
  • Is there anything better than homegrown tomatoes and fresh corn on the cob?

So glad to hear your brother is doing well! My patients at the nursing home LOVE Gunsmoke! LOL I’ve been seeing a lot of dragonflies too. And it’s a good thing because the mosquitoes are horrible. LOL So happy you can get back to France and your hubby and family!

Only thing better than the homegrown tomatoes and corn on the cob is the love that they represent. So happy for you to have spent this time with your family. Bon voyage – see you sometime next year.

Soooo very very happy for your brother, thank God! 🙏🙏🙏
For the rest, I envy you (in a friendly way) for your discovery in nature and all the walking!
I’m happy for your return to France but I’ll miss your written report and filmed ones about the fields, the flowers, the birds etc. around your mama’s place!
Even though I love very much your brocante part, in these last months I preferred you in your naturalist shoes! 😂
I hope Sacha will keep posting picture/films on nature as I’ve been watching some nice ones from him too!
    As mama as son! ❤️

Oh, Corey, what good news about your brothers cancer. I hope all of our prayers not only keep him safe, but let him know how much he is loved. Even if only virtually. I pray that your plane DOES leave and that you have a joyous reunion with your husband, Chelsea and her husband and Mr. Sardine. Your mother will miss your bonus last five months, I am sure, but what a gift for her to have had you there. A bientot !!

  13. “Your words are beautiful, miracles in themselves.” So well said, Vicki. I wait everyday for words from Corey. She has a gift, she is a gift. Oh wait, Corey You have a gift, you are a gift. Thank you so very much. Bon courage on your return to France. I hope Chelsea’s cupboard is full of tins of sardines for Gabriel.
