The Second Thing I am Going to Do….

Yann called

missing me

tempting me to foregoing quarantine

to come home…

he said,

“ Gabriel is coming here tomorrow,”

(you see Chelsea and Martin will be with us for summer as Martin can work from home,)

Yann continued,

“… and I am going to cuddle him, play roll the ball with him, smell his sweetness, push him in the swing and do all the things you cannot do cause you won’t be here.”
I laughed at his sweet tease and said…

“The second thing I am going to do after I love You up is squeeze Gabriel the Butterball until every drop I have missed gathers up into one big happy juicy hello. So you better do what you can because when I get home I am never putting him down.”

In a few more days I will be home

time will evaporate as it does

and it will feel like the never ending river flow

of life.

My Dear Corey, I’m weeping with joy for you and your family!!! Blessings to all

  2. How beautiful and wonderful are reunions. God teaches us patience during this time on many levels.
God bless you all and keep us all safe.
    Love Jeanne

  3. Men are such tricksters, steady on the path! 🙂

  4. The greatest gift you can give your waiting family is to self-quarantine. Take the long view. And in the meantime, enjoy the Paris apartment you so lovingly gathered furnishings for to create a home away from home.

And you’ll always have warm memories of the golden months you spent in Willows. I guess quarantine means you call out for food delivery…or maybe its ok to shop and get coffee in brief, masked interactions. Glad you will all spend the rest of the summer together.

So close, a few more days will only make the reunion that much more special. Enjoy your solitude.

Well, how about that. You made it back to France and now you get to be back with Yann but also those three lovely other people you can’t wait to squeeze for the rest of the summer! Sort of helps make up for it, right? *smiles*

  14. I can picture Yann as he teased you! Such love and goodness right around the corner, dear heart.

How wonderful that you were able to return to France. May your isolation period go quickly and may you soon be home in Provence with family and friends.
And what a loving time that you had in CA. Spending such time with your family and family. I loved the blackberry dessert post. Yummy!
