The morning walk that I have done every day since I heard about my brother's illness. Walking has become a prayer, and also time to reflect. To be thankful for what I have to be mindful, and to plant peace with each step.

The photos above are all within a mile radius of my house. I know each of these spots well; The river, the center of the village, along the cemetery wall, doors that I like, facades that are so Provençal that they sing up to the blue sky, the 16 fountains in our town where I dip my hands in to cool off, and in the back of my mind the not so distant memory of doing the same thing in Willows… Walking with my thoughts and prayers, hope, a few wild dreams, and frustrations… where kicking stones is a good release.

Stay strong Marty.

Merci Diogenes for the message and quote xxx

  1. I always loved that song by the Platters………My prayer is to linger with you at the end of the day………………..Prayers are powerful and I believe God hears every one. Praying for your brother as are many.
Your prayers are powerful dear friend. Keep walking and prayering and keep the faith always.
    It’s all in God’s hands.
    Love Jeanne

First of all, thank you for your posts. I feel inspired by your photos and your wonderful insight into life in general. Now I have a question. Why are there logs across the walkway in the fourth (I think it is the fourth one!) picture?

Oh the beautiful Provencal blues in this post! I’ve always loved morning glories, which are more like one-day glories, I think. Nature is my escape too. Peace can be found at the ocean’s edge and on a humble trail.
