Superhero

If only I could have taken a photo this evening

of the little boy (who was between three and four years old,)

galloping around the village fountain

in only bright yellow underwear and a homemade cape attached with a red ribbon tied around his neck.

His smile was megawatt, his eyes glowing with glee as he raised both arms in the air leaping towards outer planets and fighting off evil!

When we walked by he posed with his arms on his hips as his cape folded around his feet and exclaimed in a triumphant cheer,

"I am all the superheroes in one!"

I saluted him.

As I walked on I thought I want Gabriel to believe that he too

can be all the superheroes at once.

A few steps further I wished we could all believe we are superheroes.

  1. I love that sentiment. We all need to feel empowered in these very absurd times.

  2. All children to me are their own super heroes. They give us hope with their innocence.
    Much love

  4. The world needs super heros! They bring hope.

  5. In our own way, we all are superheroes especially we women as we put up with a lot of work, chores, etc etc everyday without complaining, like brave little soldiers! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♀️🦸‍♀️

  6. Out of the thoughts and mouths of babes. The exuberance of children is wonderful. Superheroes rule! Everybody needs a superhero.

I think we all have superhero/ette moments in our lives, you have recently been a superheroette being with your brother and family with Covid all around…missing your family in France….that was a natural thing to do but also heroic to be away so long…so I am inspired by what you do! Cheers from NZ

  8. Yes! I most definitely want that for my grandson.
