Hello Friends, my name is Teresa Young. My husband, Dave & I live in a small town in southern Oklahoma. We met later in life, and have enjoyed being able to share our mutual love for art & creativity in life together.

Seems like I always have a million projects going on in my head as well as my life. I think that is how I roll. I always have… Our children are grown and living their adult lives. We have 2 beautiful granddaughters that are truly a joy.

I spent 20 years as a graphic designer before I went to work as a Realtor over 20 something years ago. This portion of my life, I hope to spend doing the things I love most.

We own Fox Hollow Studio in Duncan, Oklahoma. Our studio, is a building we purchased 2 years ago, and turned it into an art studio for friends to gather for classes, a place for guest artist, and upstairs it offers an apartment for overnight guest. My husband did the complete renovation himself, I give him a picture and he builds it. This isn’t the first time we have done this. We have flipped several homes

together, have rentals and now an Airbnb.

I had always loved decorating my home and loved looking for special pieces that give a special touch of yourself in your home. We both love taking vacations, planning the route to drive through small towns to stop in antique stores or a flea market along our way. We are avid fans of Round Top Flea Market in Texas. It one of the largest & most amazing flea market in the United States.

Our journeys have brought us many acquaintances along the way. Two very special friends are Yann & Corey. I had met Corey at Spellbound, an art gathering in California were Corey was a guest speaker. The following year she invited me to France. I had never been to Europe. I was elated and luckily Dave was on board to go along on this adventure.

We visited them in the two following years. They infected us with the love for the South of France and brocantes. It was a trip of a lifetime, with experts giving us the direction of the places to see. Corey & Yann are two of the most gracious and personable people you will ever meet. We still reminisce of the memories we have of them. They opened our minds and hearts to traveling Europe and the next year we traveled to Italy.

And like most people with travel plans this year…

we were booked to return to see the other half of Italy last May & that was cancelled.

So for now, I do a lot of junk journaling that allows me to use the ephemera from my past journeys, along with other arts and crafts which gives me my creative outlet. I love collecting vintage trim and religious artifacts.

Thank You Corey for asking me to post on your blog. After all these years, it is still wonderful following your blog and keeping up with your life.

Re-discovering my natural creativity allowed me to look inward, enabling me to filter my world from my emotions and perceptions. This is who I am now. My art consists of mixed media and making jewelry from vintage finds. I love decorating my home, gardening, photography, journaling, traveling, and working in my art studio. Most importantly is making time for my family and friends, that make my life good.
