Voted early. Made sure my kids voted early. Saying to everyone I interact with (doctor at end of appt, lady in Dunkin drive through, cashier at grocery store…) “Don’t forget to vote!”

I was once told that the outcome has already been written. I pray that it is favorable and I know, no matter what, we will get over any hurdles put up

I voted a month ago by mail. I kind of miss the same day voting and still remember the very first time I voted in 1972. At a big old church on Logan Boulevard in Chicago. Back then they used the clunky old machines that you stepped into and pulled the curtain behind you. I still remember the one main lever that allowed you to vote for all one party with one flip of the lever. I voted for George McGovern. Nixon won. It didn’t deter me and I have voted in every election since then, even if the only position on the ballot was dog catcher.
