Waiting for the election results is like being awake through your own surgery.
We are all anxious to hear the results.
Much love praying for all my American family and friends and for us all

I have booked the next few days in an effort to stay off of media that speculates. I’m old enough to have felt this way after several elections. I’ve voted, that’s all I can control now, so ya, laundry day, wrestling with the duvet cover, and a thorough Autumn clean should do the trick.
If I wake up in a few days to bad news I will enlist the help of the shortest people I know for giggles, hugs, and games to keep my mind off the dumpster fire I can’t control.
Prayers, peace and hugs for all! -
Penny has the right idea, thanks Penny. Corey, the photograph, the statue…perfect.

Yes, waiting with you and everyone else.
Praying for a good outcome. -
Last night I had to shut off all the news. I watched Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers dancing on youtube instead. And went to bed early. Just couldn’t take the suspense. And I so want Trump to go away and not hear any more of his lies and divisiveness.

Waiting is truly difficult, as I feel my patience “tank” is running low.
Yesterday, I was able to focus on Laundry, and like Penni, struggled with the bed linens, (duvets!) and flipped the mattress.
Then spent time outside, even though skies were gray.
Here’s hoping for breakthrough, in good time, of some light. -
We’ve waited before. 2000 most recently. we waited for weeks that election. Imagine the time before electronics. You’d vote, then wait for months before you learned the results. So yes, go about your business and let the process happen.

Corey, I appreciate the chance to read about how other people who care are dealing with waiting and to describe what I am feeling and doing about it. The stakes are so very high that I am as impatient as everyone else. For my state of mind and because I have a great deal of work to do, I’m forcing myself to limit my election updates to morning and evening. Even though it may be another week before we get dispositive Presidential race results from the remaining states in which the winner is in doubt, some of the analysis and commentary available each day is fascinating. I am only looking at the online and television sites, and writers and broadcast journalists, that are being careful to distinguish between what is fact and what is analysis/commentary and are identifying their sources for both.
