  1. Wow, Gabriel, what a cool place to be growing up! I wonder what the childhood passions of Martin and Chelsea were and if they still have the same ones today.
    Mine was drawing and reading fairytale books with my Grandfather. He really inspired my love of reading and of book illustration, and I still spend time most days reading, drawing, painting, and making collage, and quiet a few of the pictures I make still have fairies in them.

  2. My passion was, and still is, music. Classical, jazz, pop… I still like to sing along with the radio and TV, although alas there’s little demand for this talent.
    Some of the earliest songs I recall on the radio were:
    “Some Enchanted Evening” (from “South Pacific”), which my dad used to sing;
    The “Third Man” theme (played on the zither); and,
    ATTENTION, REBECCA! The Metropolitan Opera live broadcasts on radio, hosted by Milton Cross. In California it came on at 10:30 AM.

    Yes, my childhood passions for being in and on the water, music, animals and reading have continued and increased throughout my life.

  4. What a sweet precious boy. Thanks for all you share with us.
    Much love and many blessings.
    I have always loved music, books, the beauty of nature, written words, poetry and dining with loved ones and animals.

    My passion since I was old enough to hold a pencil is lettering —- —calligraphy ——and I also have to include reading….. both have fed my spirit my entire life.

    Music, of course. Always music. And yes, Kathie B! The Saturday Met Matinees! but at that time I was not so impressed with opera. For me it was more about choral music or the 5th Dimension (“Up Up and away in my beautiful balloon……” I can still sing every word.) And last night we watched “My Fair Lady” and I was able to sing along through the whole thing. So, music.
