Barcelona in Bloom

Barcelona in Bloom

Red Asoka-Trees were blooming in Barcelona, which I had never seen before, the ground was covered with blooms.

Along with red blossoms above us and at our feet the Tipu trees were in bloom as well.

Red, yellow and purple against striking colorful backdrops.

My neck was sore from looking up all day.

This lovely is a Brazilian Rosewood.

Now, don't think I am clever knowing the names of these blooming trees I know flowers such as roses, tulips, lavender, daisies, and herbs such as

Rosemary, thyme, sage, basil, and plantain, pine, Cyprus, and fig trees… and possibly another twenty or fifty other types of living plants and trees–

maybe– don't hold me to it.

When Charland, a blog reader of mine, came on a trip to France with me

she asked me the names of every tree and plant she saw. I was uttering, 'I don't know, sorry so many times that at last, I said,

"Hey, this is a brocante trip, not a garden tour!"

We laughed and laughed, Charland replied, "Just makeup names that is all you need to do."

Now I am an app cheater using PICTURE THIS, and wow it is almost my new best friend.

Charland, you would be impressed by me.

    Chère Corey,
What a wonderful visit you and your family have had in Barcelona. Thank you for sharing such sweet times and beautiful photos with us.
For your question regarding what would one name the stained glass flowers, how about “fleurs de vitrail”? That translation suggestion is curtesy of the app DeepL.
Thanks the Picture This mention; I’ll check it out.
Back to trees, we have lovely ones lining Jean Médecin here in the heart of Nice. Each May/June they have some small but very fragrant flowers or, buds that waif through our always open windows (floors are a mess!). Along with the slight ding-ding of the tram; I wonder if our trees are some sort of Tipu as the streets are covered in a soft yellow?
Looking forward to seeing you at the Nice Brocante some Monday!
Bonne fin de semaine à tous,
Ella et Simone (le chien incroyable)

Just beautiful. The most beautiful one being the one in bright yellow. How clever to clothe him in something so bright so he is easy to keep an eye on in a big city. I love that you are having a family vacation, such a precious time before the newbie arrives! xoxoxo
