When We Were Young

flight back home

What we do when we are young and in love.

Sacha flew to visit his girlfriend in Spain he was with her for ten days after working literally non-stop for several weeks.

Tired and jetlag seem not to have the same hold on a person at that age, nor when you miss the person you love.

His flight details, crazy itinerary to have the best price ticket.

Plus he did not fly home but to Bozeman for a wedding.

He arrived Friday after midnight and the wedding was today.

Changing planes that many times adding the layovers, and extended hours is not my preferred way of traveling now, though I did that when I was young with two small children… those were the days that I am glad I do not have to repeat.

He arrived safely.

On another note.

When we saw Sacha Chelsea remarked:

The USA is big, the cars are big, the houses are big, the furniture is big, the servings are big and now my little brother is big.

    Oh my, what an itinerary!
Here’s hoping your son is blessed with the ability to sleep on planes.
I have always loved air travel, truly. Growing up in Alaska, flying is essential to seeing people in the lower 48 States, unless you have unlimited time. I’ve experienced some long days of travel, but never anything so long as Sacha’s recent journey. God bless him!
I’m delighted you could all be together.

  2. Yes when we are young as they say the world is our oyster.
I am so glad he arrived safely home but what memories gathered.
    Much love to you all

I got goose bumps when I read Sacha was in Bozeman. That’s where I did university and where my husband and I lived while he did his doctorate. Bozeman is a wonderful place, the mountains, the snow and the very cold winters. And it brings back so many memories. I hope he had a wonderful time there.

  4. Ahhh…to be young and in love❤️

Always fun to think about Sacha flying around overhead as he crisscrosses the Rockies. Glad he made it safely. Now if he can weather the terribly hot record-setting temperatures they are experiencing in the Pacific Northwest where my brother and his family live and many homes and apartment buildings have no air conditioning…

  6. Reading about his adventures always makes me happy. Sounds incredible!
…and Chelsea isn’t wrong! lol Everything here is huge.

  7. Lovely trip to warm the heart until next time. 💕

  8. Glad he did it and not me. I am flying to California in a couple weeks and even that I was getting the run around. I went with another airlines and paid full price just so I don’t have to do just that.
Yes, Your little boy has grown up.

I remarked too that Sacha has grown into a big man.
