  1. I remind my “live in gardener” that dandelions is what he would eat if there was no food. They are very good for us. Now why does he continue pulling them out of our yard when he could be eating them? Ha!!!

  2. I am one of four girls. When we were little we used to weave dandelions into a golden crown. We did the same with wild sweet peas.

  3. For the last few years I have been making dandelion jelly. The recipe calls for 400 flowers which I count as I collect. After recovering from back ache I set the flowers out to dry in the sun for three days. Removing the bitter sepals from the petals takes a while. Soaked in water and lemon juice, simmered next day, strained, sugar added and boiled. The result is like runny honey! Tastes wonderful. One would never know a dandelion had been involved! A definite labour of love but worth the hours spent.

  4. Barbara that is so interesting, I didn’t know it was possible!

  5. You are welcome Corey! 😊

  6. I always make wishes on dandelions after they get that white fluffy mass on them.
I love to make wishes and hope they all come true for everyone.
    Love Jeanne
