During the past several years I have noticed the huge decrease in prices for “brown” furniture in the US. Apparently the current craze for painted – especially white – furniture has affected the price of antiques. I wish that I had room for some antique furniture but I now live in a beach house with not much space. So sad – I love those old pieces.

That is a beautiful old armoire. And that price – oh la la! They go for a tad bit more here, but not much.
