Going Home

Tomorrow morning before the sunrises we are heading to Willows for my nephew’s wedding.

Three seats for the four of us; Chelsea, Gabriel, Olivia, and me.

Comfy cozy with books, toys, a go-go baby, and a three year old. The flight will not be boring, we did fine seven months ago so fingers crossed the flight is safe, and no one throws up, or has a blow out poop.

Gabriel told me to carry his bear.

I have plenty of memories flying back and forth with Chelsea and Sacha twice a year for nearly 20 years straight.
Only once did Yann fly with us. The other times he came during the middle of our stay. Solo traveling with little ones is not for the faint of heart, or the disorganized, it takes energy, and more than anything a desire to travel. In our case it is to see family is the reason.

  1. Thoughts of safe and sane travel go with you tomorrow.
Enjoy the adventure and savor each moment in Willows.

  2. I’d wondered if you’d be able to make it to the wedding. So glad you will!

  3. At least you’ll have a whole row for you and the kids to occupy. I remember allowing my 2 year old to pretty much rip up the whole in-flight magazine to help keep him occupied. Best wishes for an easy and safe trip.

  4. Safe travels, friend. Enjoy the family time. All the best.💕

You and Chelsea are intrepid travelers. May the trip be smooth and safe. May you have a lovely time with family and friends – especially with your Mama.

Traveling with children is always an adventure. On a cross continental flight with our 18 month old, severely allergic grandchild one year., we were sitting in face to face seats at the back of the plane. Just as the couple across from us were opening their sandwiches, our poor little guy suddenly had a highly explosive bowel movement that filled the lap of my dress with an ocean of loose poop. I cautioned the couple who were about to eat that they might want to hold off on their lunch until after we could get my grandchild to the bathroom to dispose of the mess and clean a ourselves up. The woman gave me a kindly look and said, “Please, don’t worry about it. I am an emergency nurse and my husband sells fertilizer for a living. We have seen and smelled worse.” Sometimes, under the worse circumstances when traveling with children, we may also be blessed with accompanying angels.
Wishing you safe travels and lots of fun at the wedding!

  9. Have a safe and uneventful flight! I am sure you will all enjoy the wedding. Hope it’s not as smoky as it is here from forest fire smoke drifting up from Washington and Oregon.
