The Columbian Salad

My friend, Laurie-Annya, introduced me to her friend Angela.

Both of them enjoy cooking, which is a big plus for me.

They came to my home with arms full of food.

Come on in, sit down, and grab a fork.

You gotta try this salad.

Oh my yum is what it is.

Is this in your recipe collection?

  1. No cilantro! Not ever!! Blechhh!!!

  2. Reminds me a lot of a salad my favorite aunty used to make. She added raisins and maybe walnuts. Absolutely no dish soap err cilantro

  3. Martina, are you perhaps thinking of Waldorf Salad? Its main ingredients are typically apples, celery, walnuts and grapes.

  4. Sounds delicious

For years I told my family I couldn’t see the attraction to cilantro because it tasted like dish soap. About 20 years ago is when I first found out that I wasn’t the only one who tasted dish soap. I was so relieved…for me, parsley seems to be a good substitute for all recipes calling for cilantro.
