The heat was unbearable, rendering it impossible to step outside. A mere ninety degrees was considered a decent day. Provence weather these last few years is reminding me of summers in Willows.
Luckily, our house has thick stone walls and cool tiled floors, a sanctuary from the summer’s heat.
Opting for a change of plans, Gabriel and I decided to have a picnic on the kitchen floor. It was the perfect escape from the oppressive heat, allowing us to savor the moment without melting into a puddle outside.
