Stories Collected While Living in France
It feels like a year since I’ve seen Gabriel and Olivia but it hasn’t been and tomorrow they’re coming. I am so happy.
Gabriel said the other day:
I am come… oh no wait –
I came… oh no no- um…
I am coming!
He conjugated the verb until it was the right sense.
His English is improving!
Now I feel like I need to see Gabriel too, the excitement is palpable, can your arrange for me to be teleported to your part of the world for a few moments and then back to New Zealand! Enjoy your reunion! Jennie, NZ

How wonderful that you get to hug your sweet ones again. My grandchildren are all grown up , but I have precious memories of when they came to visit. The pitter patter of their little feet and their joyful squeals that filled the house are special memories. Have fun !
Oh, those verbs! I only had three semesters of French at university, had absolutely no ear for languages and the verbs were particularly troublesome. I even purchased a special book purporting to assist with verbs, but it did not help. I so wish I could have learned French as Gabriel is learning English! He must divine the answers in the bottom of his cereal bowl!
