The Difference

Dressed and happy to go outside

Safely,

an easy walk to the nearby park

Where she can play at leisure, and then give happy goodbye kisses until tomorrow,

There is a warm home to return to, with running water for a bath, to splash at leisure, and a dinner to feast on.

One thing she has in common

with children in Palestine, Ukraine, Yemen, Congo, Syria…

Are parents who love (loved)…them.

I will never understand why how this can be.

Love and forgiveness lead us, all of us to peace.

Amen. Let us always remember the “whole” of what war does. Blessings

It is such a keen observation Corey and I simply cannot register how people can hate each other so much that they do these acts of violence and cruelty…that children are in the firing line and babies in incubators…we can all do our bit by offering our funds to help the helpers, but it is a sad thing indeed…Jennie, NZ

  4. Children are children. People are people.
I will never understand hate. I will never understand demonizing others. We are the same.

  5. Think about this in in the quiet of the morning drinking my tea with our doors unlocked. 🧡

An outrage how innocent civilians and children have to pay for this hatred as easy and soft targets everywhere – Palestine, Ukraine, Syria, Sudan, Yemen, Congo. Including now the Israeli children murdered, kidnapped and orphaned on Oct 7 by terrorists who use human shields and hospitals in Gaza for cover, leading to too many more deaths. It is a sad and ugly history with both sides at fault. Thank you for your compassion and keeping these innocents front and center.

  7. Yes, please remember October 7.

  8. Also remember the coordinated terrorist attacks in Paris the evening of November 13, 2015:

  9. I saw my grands a couple of days ago. This post fills me with such gratitude for their relative safe. Alas, it can change so quickly.

  10. We are blessed.
I pray the children in this war torn region may find love and kindness.
It is so disturbing and sad. I would want to take a cloak of safety and wrap it around them.
