Thirty years ago, this is how everybody dressed to go to the bakery. Nobody wore sneakers. Everybody wore high heels, and thank goodness that has changed. I liked how it looked but not how it felt. Cobblestones ruined plenty of heels.

High heels are not necessary.
But loose clothing is necessary, to make room for all those delicious baked goods!

I’ve never understood why women put up with those high heels. I can’t walk in low shoes without turning an ankle. I’d be in a wheel chair if I wore those things.
I don’t think I could even wear high heels any longer.
