I saw read this today and thought how true.

How many times have I not done something, said something, been someone because fear has held me back?

How many times have I missed out?

How many times has fear of getting hurt, or afraid of the outcome of uncertainty have i stayed still?

Sure, many of my decisions have been made with my logic and understanding of the situation at hand and that has served me well. We all rely on our understanding, logic, faith, courage…

sometimes, maybe leaping into afraid might serve us a new insight, bring us a new view, an enlightenment.

  1. Wise words and thanks for sharing

  2. After reading a posting by historian Heather Cox Richardson where she states (I paraphrase) that we’re not necessarily born with courage but in one instance it can appear. That made me realize that even someone who we consider evil may have one moment of courage to do the right thing. So, though I am not a person who prays, I decided to end my day with a blessing for them. Those that make our lives uncomfortable. Maybe with prayer they will have one moment of courage

  3. Your words are so true, Corey. 💕

  4. OTOH, sometimes we DO get hurt from taking risks, and sometimes it wasn’t worth the pain.
Some of us DO have regrets for risks we took, and at best we learned to avoid them in the future.

  5. This reminds me of the two times I went zip-lining.
The first time someone had to tell me to jump because that first leap is so scary. After the leap, I loved it. The second time I told myself I can do it, I can take the leap and tell myself it is OK. I was really proud of myself for taking that leap.
